2 Raikabagh - “A Boutique Heritage Stay that combines the ambience of a welcoming ancestral home with the comforts and services of a modern boutique accommodation. ” Our home, 2 Raikabagh, has a history dating back to the mid 19th century and was originally part of the Raikabagh Palace, the former residence of the Maharajas of Jodhpur. Following our grandfather’s commendation with the Military Cross by the King of England for his exceptional bravery during the Battle of Salerno in Italy (World War II), the Maharaja of Jodhpur, in recognition of his valour, bestowed 2 Raikabagh and other awards and honours upon him. 2 Raikabagh is officially certified as a Heritage Property by the Department of Tourism, Govt. of Rajasthan. The Accommodation - We offer two room categories: • “Heritage Room” (Base Category) – This category has 6 rooms, including 02 with twin beds and 04 with king-sized beds. • “Vintage Room” (Premium Category) – This category comprises 02 rooms, 01 with twin beds and 01 with a king-sized bed. Both rooms are located on the 1st floor and share a terrace with a garden view. All the rooms are located on the first and second floors and built around a central courtyard. Please note, we do not have an elevator. Our family, spanning three generations, resides on the ground floor of the property and is always available to personally attend to our guests. Originally built as a family residence, 2 Raikabagh was later restored and adapted into a Boutique Stay. Each room has its own character, and no two are exactly alike. While all guest rooms are similarly sized (225–240 sq. ft. ), bathroom sizes may vary slightly. 2 Raikabagh has been our home since early 1950’s, and today with all mod cons, we extend a heartfelt welcome to culture seeking and experience-driven seasoned travellers who are keen on sharing our family home with us in the captivating land of Marwar.
