The family-friendly bungalow complex is situated in the village of Santo da Serra, where guests will find shops, restaurants, several local bars, a church, a bakery, a pharmacy, a hairdresser's, bus and taxi facilities and a petrol station. There is also a park, famous for its variety of endemic flora, and a viewing point from which guests can see Machico's valley, Ponta de São Lourenço and Porto Santo island on clear days. Machico beach is approximately 9 km from the complex and the city of Funchal is roughly 22 km away. Madeira Airport is around 8 km from the bungalow complex. A beautiful example of a 'quinta', owned by the same family for decades, this hotel is situated 670 m above sea level, in the village of Santo da Serra, between Santa Cruz, Machico and Funchal. For the purpose of accommodating visitors, the estate has been developed and chalets and self catering semi-detached cottages have been built in the surrounding gardens. The bungalow complex now offers 28 accommodation units and facilities include a hotel safe and a TV lounge. Each room features an en suite bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a kitchen with fridge, cooker, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities, and a private balcony or terrace. Other in-room amenities include a direct dial telephone, Internet access, a safe, ironing set and central heating. A few minutes walk away, guests will find the fantastic Santo da Serra golf course, home to a PGA tournament. The nearby beach is rocky.
