About the hotel

Locanda Vivaldi is a 4-star Superior boutique hotel occupying the historic residence of composer Antonio Vivaldi, set on the legendary Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront. Few addresses in Venice can rival this location: steps from St. Mark's Square, the Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs, with the shimmering waters of the San Marco Basin right at the doorstep. The hotel's signature feature is its panoramic rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking 180-degree views over the Basin — from the Doge's Palace to the distant Lido. Whether at breakfast or sunset aperitivo, this terrace delivers one of the most unforgettable vistas in all of Venice. The on-site restaurant Prete Rosso serves traditional Venetian cuisine in this spectacular setting. The 27 individually decorated rooms blend classic Baroque style with modern comforts, featuring sumptuous fabrics, Murano glass chandeliers and, in many rooms, sweeping lagoon views. Guests may arrive in true Venetian fashion directly at the hotel's private dock via water taxi. Locanda Vivaldi is the ideal choice for travellers seeking an authentic, romantic and culturally rich retreat in the very heart of Venice — where history, music and the magic of the lagoon come together in one exceptional stay.
