In 1983, on Haad Rin beach in Koh Phangan, the owner of Paradise Bungalows' Rock Bar, Mr. Sutti, hosted a small gathering for around 20 to 30 travelers. With music, laughter, and dancing around a bonfire, the first Full Moon Party was born. What began as a small welcome celebration now attracts crowds of 40, 000-60, 000 people every full moon evening, with the party continuing until sunrise.
