About the hotel

Welcome to The Goodenough Hotel, a beautifully restored boutique hotel in Central London, located in the heart of the historic Bloomsbury district. Just minutes from King’s Cross, St Pancras International, and the West End, our hotel offers a unique blend of classic Georgian charm and contemporary luxury. Set across five elegant 19th-century Georgian townhouses, The Goodenough Hotel provides a tranquil escape from the buzz of the city – perfect for leisure breaks, business trips, or romantic getaways. Whether you're visiting London for work or pleasure, The Goodenough Hotel is your ideal home base – offering boutique accommodation in Central London with easy access to major attractions, theatres, museums, and transport links. At The Goodenough Hotel, our story is rooted in heritage, education, and giving back. More than just a boutique hotel in Bloomsbury, we’re proud to be a not-for-profit hotel in Central London – with 100% of our profits going towards supporting Goodenough College, a renowned postgraduate residence and academic community. When you stay with us, you’re not only enjoying a peaceful escape in one of London’s most historic and culturally rich neighbourhoods – you’re also contributing to the future of some of the world’s most talented students – including those on low incomes or from challenging backgrounds. It’s a stay that feels good and does good. In early 2026, The Goodenough Hotel will be undertaking phased heritage restoration works to the front of the building. These works are carefully managed, with little expected impact on guest access, comfort, or enjoyment of Mecklenburgh Square. Any limited works will be planned to minimise noise, and a small number of rooms will be temporarily closed, allowing us to carry out light-touch refurbishments, including new carpets. Experience authentic London, support a worthy cause, and sleep well, knowing your visit makes a difference.
