About the hotel

Located just outside Vevey, at the intersection of the Geneva-Berne-Valais motorways, the Modern Times Hotel invites you to discover the world of Charlie Chaplin. Throughout this contemporary hotel, original film posters, private photos of the actor, and film stills are displayed. The name 'Modern Times' inspired the careful use of building materials, such as stone and wood, while water from the Pléiades spring is available on each floor from a water dispenser. Nestled between the lake and mountains, the Modern Times Hotel offers 136 modern rooms and junior suites with high-quality bedding. It provides a comfortable and welcoming retreat for both business and family travelers. The Times Bar, the hotel's central hub, features a colorful and stylish lounge. Its convivial atmosphere transitions seamlessly throughout the day, from a workspace to a social meeting place. The Times Grill restaurant, open year-round, serves fresh, regional dishes. Locally produced dry-aged beef, matured in refrigerated cabinets, is a highlight of the menu, complemented by a selection of wines from the Lavaux and other regions. During warmer months, the splendid Mediterranean terrace on the edge of a biotope offers a delightful setting to savor dishes carefully prepared by the culinary team. Six luminous and modular conference rooms on the ground floor can accommodate 10 to 180 participants for events. All rooms offer direct access to the Mediterranean garden. The Modern Times Hotel is located approximately two kilometers from Chaplin's World by Grévin. This museum, opened in April 2016, invites visitors to discover the legacy of this immense artist. The hotel is also near quintessential Riviera destinations like the Lavaux vineyards and the Pléiades mountains, and is an ideal base for attending regional events such as the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Montreux Christmas Market.
