Almyra apartments are located right on the sandy beach of the charming village Sfakaki just 10km outside Rethymnon city. Something that makes our location unique, it's rare species sea-turtle Caretta - Caretta that prefers our beach, and 5 to 6 more than the rest of the Mediterranean, to reproduce and to lay its eggs. If you are lucky you may see some of these wonderful creatures! All the apartments are fully furnished and equipped with air conditioning, refrigerator, kitchenette, satellite TV and private bathroom. You can even prepare your own meals if you wish to, using for free fresh and organic vegetables from our garden!, and enjoy your breakfast seating on your balcony looking at the beautiful view of the Aegean Sea and of our colorful Mediterranean gardens. Relax and spend hours at the beach, under the Greek sun, looking the endless blue of the Aegean Sea! Almyra apartments have easy access to local super markets, bakeries and taverns. Rethymnon area has a rich history and a large variety of sightseeing and tourist attractions like Venetian castle ‘Fortezza’ one of the best-preserved castles in Crete, Kourtaliotiko Canyon, Bali exotic wild landscaped sandy beach, Ideon Cave which according to mythology was the cave where god Zeus was raised, hidden from his father Cronus and so much more.
