About the hotel

A great stay is waiting for you here at the SureStay Plus by Best Western Highland Poughkeepsie. Located right off Route 9W and less than seven miles from SUNY New Paltz, our affordable accommodations are the perfect place to rest your head while visiting the area. We offer daily breakfast with hot options that are easy to grab and go before heading out to campus tours or an early morning hike. All our guests receive access to our property-wide Wi-Fi, while those traveling for business can find fax and printing options at our business center available on-site. If you're a fan of the outdoors, our location is ripe with hiking trails and parks to explore any time of the year. Only 20 minutes away is Mohonk Preserve which includes over 70 miles of roads and trails for hiking, biking, or cross-country skiing through the Shawangunk Mountains. You can stop and enjoy many local craft breweries and dining establishments while heading out toward New Paltz. While you're there, stop by Historic Huguenot Street to take in 10 acres of well-preserved 17th-century homes and buildings. If you want the whole experience, grab one of their guided or spooky candlelight ghost tours. You're in luck if you visit us during the fall season. We're surrounded by plentiful apple orchards, seasonal cideries, wineries, and more as you enjoy the beautiful foliage.
