About the hotel

A cherished landmark in the South Bronx, the Opera House Hotel was once known as the grand Bronx Opera House, one of the most famous performance centers in the United States. This 78-room property allows guests to stay in the same place that hosted transcendent theater performances by Harry Houdini, the Marx Brothers, and John and Lionel Barrymore. The property's hallways and rooms display reprinted vintage newspaper articles and art reflecting the Bronx Opera House's rich history. The Opera House Hotel proudly stands as a finalist for Hotel of the Year in the 2024 Awards of Excellence, nominated by HSMAI NYC—a testament to its commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.
